Stay Calm.... Avoid compromise..!!

Our life is somehow comparable with the life of a legend like Bheeshma.... :( Compromise... Yes .. At every moment of his life he made compromise with his life..
wheather it may be The famous oath.."Bheeshma Pratigya" .. or painful moment of taking The incharge responsibility of The Kauravas side in Mahabharat ...

This is the thing I dont want in my life..... But still cannot do anything.... Each individual has to compromise at certain stage of their life..
Nothing is in our hand n moreover neither anyone can stand before time.. we do not know what will happen further in our life....
What ever may be the situation of your life  stay cool and calm... !! And BELIVE in yourself.. Just forget about the compromise...!!
But be spesific. Dont compromise whatever .. Be accordingly to the situation.... Later if you realise its importance then it is too late to repent...
Dont loose precious moments, friends due to silly compromises... stay cool and happy.. :)

Reason behind forcing to install messenger app...

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg finally explains on thursday that why he forced the users around the globe to use Messenger app..
He said that primarily Facebook is a news feed type app.. and messaging is something which people across the globe do on regular basis..He also said that nearly 10 billion messages are sent per day and a person had to wait or would have to open a new tab.. so for solution he he and his colleagues decieded to go for separate app...
Read complete reply by Mr. CEO here...
"The primary purpose of the Facebook app is News Feed. Messaging was this behavior people were doing more and more. 10 billion messages are sent per day, but in order to get to it you had to wait for the app to load and go to a separate tab. We saw that the top messaging apps people were using were their own app. These apps that are fast and just focused on messaging. You're probably messaging people 15 times per day. Having to go into an app and take a bunch of steps to get to messaging is a lot of friction."
"Messaging is one of the few things people do more than social networking. In some countries 85% of people are on Facebook, but 95% of people use SMS or messaging. Asking folks to install another app is a short term painful thing, but if we wanted to focus on serving this [use case] well, we had to build a dedicated and focused experience."
Facebook first began to force users to switch to Facebook Messenger in July this year, a move that was highly criticized by everybody. Users complained that switching between Facebook app and Messenger app was inconvenient and they should rather be given a choice than to be forced.

Indian Super League's success a challenge in a cricket crazy country

For the overwhelming majority of football enthusiasts in India, the Indian Super League (ISL) is their first encounter with a domestic tournament where the quality of play at times approximates international standards.Three weeks after its launch, ISL is very much work in progress. The debutante league scored on debut with its opening match garnering impressive numbers.
ISL's first match was seen by 74.7 million viewers on October 12, a rating of 1.81, considered by experts to be a decent number in a country where football does not enjoy high popularity barring a few states. In comparison, the first match of the Pro Kabbadi League (PKL), widely considered to be a success, was seen by 66 million. For perspective, the inaugural match of the 2008 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the first year of the Twenty20 cricket tournament, was viewed by 195 million people.Since then, the Indian edition of the beautiful game has struggled to pull in the numbers despite the presence of football legends such as Alessandro Del Piero (formerly, Italy and Juventus) who plays for Delhi Dynamos and Luis Garcia (Spain, Liverpool and now Atletico de Kolkata). From the TAM (Television Audience Measurement) peak of 1.81 in the inaugural match, the figure at the end of the first week had reached 0.54, averaging a TAM rating of 0.87. By week 2 of ISL, this had further slipped to 0.7.
The promoters of ISL, a joint venture between Reliance Industries and IMG, have set themselves the ambitious goal of raising the standards of Indian football so that the nation of 1.2 billion has a good enough team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. India's current world ranking is a miserable 159. The current edition of ISL will run till December. What is going for ISL is the combined might of the Star television network, Reliance and global sports media giant IMG behind the league. Sponsors such as Hero, Maruti, Samsung, Pepsi, Puma, Nise Gel and Muthoot Group are on board, bringing in on-air plus ground revenues of around Rs 65 crore to the franchise. With more investment and better players drawn to the league, ISL could find firmer ground to stand on.

India leads world in restricting content on Facebook,,,

Facebook has restricted access to nearly 5,000 pieces of information on its website in India in the first six months of 2014, the highest for any country, following requests from government and other agencies to act against hate-content on social media platforms.
India is the largest userbase for Facebook outside the US with over 100 million users.
Similar steps were taken in Turkey (1,893) and Pakistan (1,773) during the said period, Facebook said in its Government Requests Report.
"We restricted access in India to a number of pieces of content reported primarily by law enforcement officials and the India Computer Emergency Response Team under local laws prohibiting criticism of a religion or the state," Facebook said in the report.
India is also ranked second, just behind the US, in terms of government requests for access to users and accounts.
During January-June 2014, Facebook said it had received 4,559 requests for information on 5,958 users and accounts. Of this, 50.87 per cent of requests saw some data being produced.
Compared to the July-December 2013 period, the number of requests has gone up over 26 per cent, while it is higher by 40 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Facebook said it received total 15,433 requests for 23,667 users and accounts and 80.15 per cent of requests saw some data being produced. "Since our first report, we've seen an increase in government requests for data and for content restrictions. In the first six months of 2014, governments around the world made 34,946 requests for data an increase of about 24 per cent since the last half of 2013," Facebook Deputy General Counsel Chris Sonderby said in a blogpost.
"During the same time, the amount of content restricted because of local laws increased about 19 per cent," he added.
"We scrutinise every government request we receive for legal sufficiency under our terms and the strict letter of the law, and push back hard when we find deficiencies or are served with overly broad requests," he said. He added that the US-based firm, which has about 1.3 billion users, will continue to work with industry and civil society partners to push governments for additional transparency.

India tops list of countries censoring Facebook posts.....

As more and more Indians join Facebook and post content on their timelines, Indian government is increasingly getting active in asking the social media site to censure posts. In the first six months of 2014, Facebook had "restricted access" to "4,960 pieces of content" in India.
The access was restricted after the content was "reported primarily by law enforcement officials and the India Computer Emergency Response Team under local laws prohibiting criticism of a religion or the state."
The information was revealed by Facebook in its third transparency report, which detailed the number of government requests Facebook received in the first half of 2014 for restricting access or for seeking information on users.
The only other two countries that stood out for restricting Facebook content were Pakistan and Turkey. In Pakistan 1,773 censorship requests were made while in Turkey the number was 1893.
In most of the 83 countries for which Facebook reported numbers, the website did not receive any government request to censure posts.
However, the US led when it came to seeking information on users. According to Facebook, US government officials made 15,433 requests, affecting 23,667 accounts.
The second place in this list was occupied by India, which made 4,559 requests affecting 5,958 accounts.
In India Facebook complied with around 51 per cent requests while in the US the figure was 80 per cent.
"We respond to valid requests relating to criminal cases. Each and every request we receive is checked for legal sufficiency and we reject or require greater specificity on requests that are overly broad or vague," Facebook noted in its report.
Chris Sonderby, Facebook Deputy General Counsel, said that the number of requests was gone up compared to the last six months of 2013.
"In the first six months of 2014, governments around the world made 34,946 requests for data - an increase of about 24 per cent since the last half of 2013. During the same time, the amount of content restricted because of local laws increased about 19 per cent," said Sonderby.

Solar energy German technology can help India.......

In a bid to achieve its target of increasing solar power capacity tenfold by 2022, the Government of India is planning to change the solar pricing model. To boost the growth of its solar power market, India may follow the pricing model of Germany – the biggest market for solar power technology.
In Germany, feed-in electricity tariffs were introduced to encourage the use of renewable energy technologies. To accelerate investment in renewable energy technologies, the investors are provided feed-in tariff — a fee above the retail rate of electricity. This makes the investors secure.
In 2013, renewable energy’s share was more than 25 per cent of total energy consumed in Germany. Livemint reported that on sunny/windy days, because of Germany’s boom in renewables, power prices drop so much that grid authorities pay some clean utilities to stop generating.
According to data compiled by Bloomberg, Germany has installed 35 gigawatts of solar power technology compared to India’s 2.4 gigawatts.
India is in desperate need of energy. Germany’s is a fine example of how to promote solar and other renewable energy technologies. India can take a leaf out of Germany’s book and tap its renewable energy potential successfully.

facebook launches its own 'dark-web' site....

Facebook has never had much of a reputation for letting users hide their identities online. But now the world's least anonymous website has just joined the Web's most anonymous network. In a first-of-its-kind move for a Silicon Valley giant, Facebook on Friday launched a Tor hidden service, a version of its website that runs the anonymity software Tor. That new site, which can only be accessed by users running the Tor software, bounces users' connections through three extra encrypted hops to random computers around the Internet, making it far harder for any network spy observing that traffic to trace their origin.Inviting users to connect to Facebook over Tor may seem like a strange move; given that Facebook still requires you to log in and doesn't allow pseudonymseven Tor users on the site are hardly anonymous to Facebook itself. But even so, Tor users on Facebook can now protect their identities from every other online snoop that would want to unmask them. "No, you're not anonymous to Facebook when you log in, but this provides a huge benefit for users who want security and privacy," says Runa Sandvik, a former Tor developer who FacebookTor, after all, doesn't just let users hide their identities from the sites they visit, anonymously buying drugs on the Silk Road or uploading leaked documents to news sites through the leak platform SecureDrop. It's also designed to circumvent censorship and surveillance that occurs much closer to the user's own connection, such as in repressive regimes like Iran or China. And since Facebook uses SSL encryption, no surveillance system watching either Facebook's connection or the user's local traffic should be able to match up a user's identity with their Facebook activity.

In his second radio address to the nation on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to bring back "every penny of the poor man's money" stashed abroad as untaxed or black money and said it was "an article of faith" for him.
"We don't know how much money has really gone abroad," Mr Modi said in the radio address "Mann ki Baat".
"Nobody, not this government, not you, not the previous government, knows exactly how much black money is stashed abroad," he said. "I don't want to get into the figures. Whether it is two rupees or five rupees or crores, I'm committed to getting that money back."
"I will not compromise anywhere. Please trust this Pradhan Sevak. The issue is an article of faith for me," he said.
"From what I understand and based on the information I have, I am telling you that we are (moving) in the right direction," he added in the 18-minute address.
The Prime Minister had started his radio chats on October 3 with a 15-minute speech titled 'Mann ki Baat'. Future sessions, he had said, will be held on Sundays at 11 am on the All India Radio.

Whatsapp India user base crosses 70 million...........

Mobile messenger service WhatsApp's user base in India has grown to 70 million active users, which is over a tenth of its global users, its business head Neeraj Arora has said.
He said the total user base for the company, which was bought by Facebook in a blockbuster $19 billion deal earlier this year, is 600 million.
With over a tenth of the users from the country, India is one of the biggest markets for WhatsApp, he said, adding connecting billions of people in markets like India and Brazil is the aim of the company.
Arora, an alumnus of IIT-Delhi and ISB Hyderabad, said WhatsApp will continue to hold a distinct identity even after the takeover by Facebook and will not get merged with the social networking giant.
He said WhatsApp, which has only 80 employees, will benefit through learnings from the social networking giant.
Arora, who first heard of WhatsApp as a business development executive for internet search giant Google and later joined as its business head, said it took two years to stitch the $19 billion deal announced this April.
Arora said the user base has doubled to 600 million from the 30 million when he joined three years ago. The company has flourished because of its focus on the product, rather than the business side of things, he said.

Nokia Will Not Make Mobile Phones in India Anymore

Nokia, once an iconic mobile handset maker, is shutting down its India plant Saturday at Sriperumbudur near Chennai, a company spokesperson said on Friday.
Global software major Microsoft, which acquired the Finland-based Nokia's global devices and services business, including assets in India for $7.2 billion (Rs. 44,265 crores approximately) April 25, decided to suspend manufacturing handsets from its Chennai plant though it could not take possession of it due to legal battles over a tax notice from the Tamil Nadu government and the Supreme Court in March.
At the time of closing down the operations, about 1,100 employees were working in the plant, including 900 on the assembly lines.
Touted as Nokia's largest production facility outside Europe, the Chennai plant started rollout out initially low-end mobile handsets from January 2006 after it was unveiled by then prime minister Manmohan Singh in the presence of his Finnish counterpart Matti Vanhanen.
Once a dominant player in the burgeoning mobile phones segment across India, with over 80 percent market share, Nokia lost out to rivals like Samsung, Apple, Sony and Panasonic in the next-generation handsets, popularly known as smart-phones over the last couple of years.

Facebook doubles advertising bug bounty...

Facebook has doubled the reward for developers who point out flaws in the social networking giant's advertising code.

The bounty was raised after the US-based firm completed a comprehensive security audit. Market analysts suggest the move is part of the social networking giant's strategy to expand its share of the online advertising pie and to counter its close rival Google. The company had found and fixed a number of security bugs through audit but said it would "like to encourage additional scrutiny from Whitehats to see what we might have missed." "...we hope to encourage researchers to become more familiar with the surface area of ads to better protect the businesses that use them," Facebook Security Engineer Collin Greene said in a blogpost.

The company had found bugs in areas like redeeming the same ads coupon multiple times without expiry and retrieving name of an unpublished Page via the Ads Create Flow by guessing its Page ID, it said.

Sania Mirza’s Biggest Doubles Triumph....!!!!

Sania Mirza added yet another feather to her much-decorated cap as she won the WTA Tour Finals with partner Cara Black – the biggest title in tennis outside of the four Grand Slams and the Olympics. Sania Mirza and Black may have just about survived in their first two matches. The Indo-Zimbawe pair saved one match point against Spears/ Kops-Jones and three matchpoints against Peschke/ Srebotnik, but they thrived in the final against defending champions Shuai Peng/ Su-Wei Hsieh. Sania Mirza/ Black dropped the first game of the match, but then reeled off 12 games in a row, to win 6-1, 6-0 in just one hour.

The win is worth $500,000 in prize money for the duo and 1,500 ranking points for each player and completes a brilliant three-month run for the Indian in which she also won the US Open mixed doubles title, th Asian Games mixed doubles gold and women’s doubles bronze besides the season-ending WTA Championships. Sania will partner Hsieh next year as Black is uncertain of her playing schedule for 2015. The Indian has firmly set her sights on the elusive Grand Slam women’s doubles title and the World No. 1 ranking.

Modi's Diwali greeting from Siachen: India's with jawans

The Prime Minister spent his Diwali morning on Thursday at the Siachen glacier, lauding India's armed forces and saying "125 crore Indians can celebrate Diwali today and go about their lives in comfort because the jawans guard the borders."

He also tweeted that he was wishing the entire country on the occasion "from the icy heights of the Siachen Glacier & with the brave Jawans & Officers."

This was the third time in less than a month that Modi was using a public holiday to connect with the people. On October 2, that is Gandhi Jayanti, he launched the Swachh Bharat campaign, and on Dussera, he delivered his first radio speech on the government-run All India Radio.

Indian soldiers control almost all the dominating heights, ranging from 16,000 to 22,000 feet, in the Siachen glacier-Saltoro Ridge region, where more soldiers are killed due to harsh weather and avalanches than enemy fire. Around 900 Indian soldiers have been killed in the region since 1984, though casualties have come down drastically in recent years with India building better infrastructure there. Pakistan has lost even more soldiers in the region.

Arriving in Srinagar in the afternoon, the PM announced Rs 570 crore for repair of houses damaged during the September floods in the state and Rs 175 crore for renovation of six major hospitals which had also suffered damage.

He said the financial help would be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the flood-hit. People of the state, he said, had demanded that the aid reach them directly, and he had assured them their demands would be considered.

What does Success mean to you????

Being able to success in life brings more happiness in your life, I believe in success which comes to you only when you make sure to correct yourself from the ups and down you have seen in your life and mistakes you made in your life.

You see, personal success comes in many different forms and your concept of being a success might not be the same as mine. If you want to be successful in your life, then the very first thing you should do is to take the time to decide exactly what “success” means to you. Never mind what it means to anyone else, what does it mean to you?
To some people the epitome of being a success is earning a lot of money. In fact society seems to base the whole concept of success primarily by how much money a person earns. But society’s definition has more to do with flash than it does with substance. Many so-called successful people are very unhappy in their personal life.

What ever may be your goal.... just believe in you...
If the concept of being a personal success sounds good to you, take the first step today. Discover your personal definition of success and write it down . I promise that you will feel more successful immediately. Here’s the main point to take away from this article: Success is a multifaceted, personal concept. By defining what that concept represents to you personally, and by taking the time to write it down, you will automatically move your life in the direction of success...

Wish you a successful day Further.... :)

Zuckerberg announces $1 mn Innovation Challenge in India....

The goal of the challenge is to encourage development of apps, websites and online services that provide real value to women, students, farmers and migrant workers

Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced the $1 million Internet.org Innovation Challenge during his address at the first Internet.org Summit, in New Delhi.
At the Summit, he spoke about good inventions and highlighted the power of connectivity. He also pointed out that technology has to be such that it benefits the whole society and it cannot be the privilege of just a handful.
Making his observations about India, Zuckerberg said that the country has embraced science, research and technology, but now is the time to embrace internet. Even though 243 million people are connected to the internet, and 100 million are already on Facebook, there are more than a billion people who don’t have any access to the internet. He said, quoting a research, “69 per cent of Indians who have never accessed internet don’t have enough reasons why they should use it and what benefit internet can provide them. The only way one can motivate this section is when you show them the value internet can provide, as mobile is already doing by connecting people.”
According to a recent report by McKinsey & Company, one of the main barriers to internet adoption is the lack of relevant, local and multilingual content and services online. This is what keeps the internet restricted to a limited section of the society. To fill the gap, Facebook is working in rural India to improve internet connectivity. He also stressed on the need for a ‘911’ for internet, through which users can avail the basic internet services, even without using any plan.
Revealing some important statistics, Zuckerberg said that 25 per cent fewer women are connected to the internet, compared to men; 80 per cent of content on the internet are just in 10 languages, while there are 22 official languages in India; 65 per cent of people use Facebook in a language other than English.
Keeping in mind these drawbacks, he announced the Internet.org Innovation Challenge in India, which is an effort to recognise those who are working to make the internet more relevant to four sections that are currently underserved in India- women, students, farmers and migrant workers. These communities face some of the largest structural barriers to going online, and the content they find once they are connected is often of little value to them.

Samsung develops five time faster Wi-Fi technology.... :)

Samsung Electronics said it has developed a Wi-fi technology that can increase data transmission speeds by five times the maximum rate possible with existing consumer electronics devices.

The 60GHz Wi-fi technology will enable a 1GB movie to be transferred between devices in less than three seconds while allowing uncompressed high-definition videos to be streamed in real time, the Suwon, South Korea-based company said in an e-mailed statement on Sunday. The technology removes the gap between theoretical and actual speeds, and exhibits actual speeds more than 10 times faster than with existing Wi-fi technologies, it said.

"Samsung has successfully overcome the barriers to the commercialization" of the 60GHz Wi-fi technology, Kim Chang Yong, head of a Samsung R&D centre, said in the statement. "New and innovative changes await Samsung's next-generation devices, while new possibilities have been opened up for the future development of Wi-fi."

The announcement came as Samsung rolls out new products amid growing competition from Apple and Chinese companies. Samsung last week said its quarterly operating profit plunged 60% because of stagnating smartphone sales and has announced a $14.5-billion investment to build a plant in South Korea to meet demand for semiconductor chips.

Samsung said commercialization of the 60GHz Wi-fi technology is expected as early as next year. It plans to apply its new Wi-fi technology to awide range of products, including audio-visual and medical devices, and telecommunication equipment.

Girl child education key to women empowerment....:)

I Think... Female education is the need of the hour. Without educating the women of the country we can never hope for a developed nation. Women play a vital role in the all round progress of a country. If we want to make democracy successful, women must be educated.

It is said that if we educate a man, we educate a man only, but if we educate a woman, we educate the whole family. This highlights the importance of female education. It is a fact that women are the first teachers of their children. It is in their lap that the children receive the very first lessons. Hence, if mothers are well-educated, they can play an important role in shaping and moulding of their sons and daughters. Napoleon was once asked, what the great need of France was. He simply answers, "Nation's progress is impossible without trained and educated mothers. If the women of my country are not educated, about half of the people will be ignorant." Such was the opinion of Napoleon about educating the women-folk. Our opinion too must not differ from Napoleon. We must give up our conservative outlook and create an atmosphere in which not a single woman remains uneducated.

She must be given all the necessary education. Ignoring her, keeping her illiterate means we are creating an illiterate and ignorant generation. So it is perfectly true that educating a girl child means educating a family.Development cannot be accelerated unless girls are given right education in right direction.

So... Education of a girl is very much important... And it is the basic requirement of the nation RIGHT NOW....
